Welcome to the Blyth and District Pool League website.

The BDPL is based in South-East Northumberland, with teams from from venues Blyth, Bedlington, Cambois, Cramlington, Seaton Sluice, New Hartley, Annitsford and Ashington all taking part.

The league currently has three divisions, Super League, Bob Brown Premier Division and Kenny Stoker First Division, and the league currently has 50 teams participating in it (maximum capacity of 54). The Premier Division is named The Bob Brown Premier Division in memory and respect of the efforts & longevity of Bob Brown within our pool league from it's beginning in the 1970's. The First Division is named after Kenny Stoker in memory for longevity playing within BDPL leagues.

The league season is played on Thursday nights from late August to May-June. Each match consists of 2 x singles and 1 doubles games with 1 point for each frame.

A Captains Cup game is played at the beginning of the league games for both leagues, the team that wins most of these games over the season in each league wins a trophy. This is named the Keith Hall Captains Cup in memory and honour of the late Keith Hall.

As well as running three leagues there are other separate competitions played within each division - a Singles, Doubles, 3-a-side knockout competition and Team knockout Cup competition. A women's singles knockout and an over 50's knockout are played across all 3 divisions.

An AGM is held every July to discuss possible rule changes and for new teams to register an interest in playing in the league for the upcoming season.
